Pushing the Holocaust as the foundation origin myth of the modern West never made sense to me given that, even if one accepted the Holocaust narrative at face value, it was the white Christian British and American soldiers, along with the white Soviet soldiers that put an end to it. The smear was made to apply to them and their descendants too, I guess.
